It does, but you have to load the following two udebs:
[ ] lvmcfg
[ ] md-modules-2.4.22-1-386-di
In order to be able to load modules, you have to run d-i with "medium"
priority.
Also, if you've done this and still don't see your 8e partitions as
LVM, you're hitting bug #223388.
