I've used the images from 
http://gluck.debian.org/cdimage/testing/netinst/i386/

The PC:
Dual Celeron 500 (Abit BP6 MoBo)
256MB RAM
4 hd + 2 cd drives
graphic: Nvidia GForce1 32MB
ethernet: Realtek RTL8139
sound and isdn card

I read that there is a bug in the usb-discover. The vesafb is modprobed 
right after the usb stuff.
I got an 'E: Unimplemented function' on a refreshed screen.
