You have three options:
1) Get a copy of Knoppix and install sid that way. Not recommended.
2) Wait until debian-installer gets closer to completion and gets
PPPOE support. This will probably take a while still.
3) Ditch your ISP, get one that isn't trying to screw you. PPPoE isn't
necissary if they're not trying to deliberately oversell the
network. Recommended.
