Installation from USB CDROM/Floppy

hi,

i got some problems installing from a USB CDROM/Floppy Drive,

As i read in some other posts, the devices should be registred as SCSI
in /dev/scd* (cdrom ?)
That doesnt work, i use a official Debian Woody CDROM with the bf24
Image.
So, is it possible to install from USB Device ? What special things i
have to do make this thing goin on to work ?
