Bug#149698: Dell 2650 & Debian boot



Hi Eduard,

The problems i am having are: when loading the install cd i get so far and
then it halts where it halts is:

SCSI Blah blah blah
basically this says a scsi device was found

'scsi <fdomain> Detection Failed (card not found)'
sym53c416.o Loaded OK

And from here i can't get anywhere. Can you help please?

Difficult for me to redo the test. The ordered 2650 left my office now. I've
to wait for the next one.

Something is wrong somewhere because when I was booting the cdrom (beta from
June 10), the system was stopping just after the sym53c416.c driver. I saw
that on the console.

May be someone can redo the test. I've put in copy the last 2 users who
mailed me.

Hi folks, could you try to explain your problem to Eduard. I no longer have
access to the 2650 to clarify the problem.
