No. You need a prepared floppy with SCSI modules on it.

Okay, go and suggest something to drop from the bf2.4 kernel. The thing
is as large as possible. What do you want to throw away? Maybe the
ReiserFS driver? Or Symbios-Logic drivers? I am sure, there are many
people that really, really want this just to make few hundreds of DELL
users happy.
