I'm afraid I can't do anymore tests since I don't have the NIC that causes
the problem anymore. Now I've got a 3com. So I won't be able to do anymore

If possible, could you boot the installation system again, then switch
to VC2 (Alt-F2), and try that command there? On the off chance it might
give you another message on the console.
Also, the entire /var/log/messages or installer.log might be helpful,
if available.
