Bug#122139: modconf crash when entering a module directory

I have the same problem.

1. I start modconf from the console.
2. modconf displays all the categories as normal
3. I choose with the cursor one entry and hit enter
4. Without any message I'm back at the prompt.

2.4.14-k7 with reiserfs.
