That is fixed in 0.51-3. 0.51-3 is basically 0.51 plus some bugfixes
backported from CVS. I'll be making a 0.51-4 in a few minutes that
also backports the endianness fix for md5sum.

Could you send me what $reldest expands to so I can test this
