1. I think you have the trunk checked out, not the woody branch

This mail explains how to get the woody branch, though actually there is a
pserver problem, so at the moment it is possible you will only be able to work
on the trunk.  I just sent a patch to debian-admin that might fix it though.

I've been working on the woody branch, it isn't easy for me to look into this
particular problem which I believe to be in the trunk.
