Re: zlib compression corruption from cvs server?

Ok, that's fixed, now I get:

$ CVS_RSH=ssh CVSROOT=:ext:eichin@cvs.debian.org:/cvs/debian-boot cvs co .
cvs server: Updating .
cvs server: Updating CVSROOT
cvs server: failed to create lock directory in repository
`/cvs/debian-boot/CVSROOT': Permission denied
cvs server: failed to obtain dir lock in repository
`/cvs/debian-boot/CVSROOT'
cvs [server aborted]: read lock failed - giving up

eichin@klecker:~$ groups
Debian
eichin@klecker:~$ ls -ldg /cvs/debian-boot
drwxrwxr-t   14 aph      Debian       4096 Mar  3 16:11 /cvs/debian-boot
eichin@klecker:~$ ls -ldg /cvs/debian-boot/CVSROOT
drwxr-xr-x    5 aph      Debian       4096 Mar  2 19:16 /cvs/debian-boot/CVSROOT

Is this intentional, or am I missing something? (like, a new
undocumented cvs option to access the repository read-only without
getting any locks?)
