Package: boot-floppies
Version: 2.2.7
Severity: important
Hi,
I am installing Debian 2.2 on a new system and am having a problem. It
appears that the boot floppies don't support root raid on milex controlers.
This is a rather new feature in Linux 2.2 but the devices read as follows.
/dev/rd/c0d0 is the physical disk and /dev/rd/c0d0p[1-9] are the partitions
which can be created.
Basically what I had to do was open up a shell and:
mount -o rw,remount /dev/ram /
As setup didn't seem to do this. Then:
fdisk /dev/rd/c0d0
and setup all the partitions.
After this, the setup went rather smoothly.
Regards,
Shane
