During install there is a question that asks: "Would you like me to not check the drive for errors?" or something real close. It defaults to Yes and skips the lengthy drive check. My problem with this message is that it is very confusing. It should read: "Would you like the drive to be checked for errors?" and default to No. I can make this a bug if that is easier.
