I know that for ARM (especially RISCOS machines) there is am
embarassingly long list of partitioning schemes used (because the
original machines didn't have a useful one). There are about 7 of them.
about 70% of these are supported in a library used by the RISCOS !Partman
partitioning tool and the loadmap boot mapper, but this stuff hasn't been
merged into normal fdisk yet. I intend to do this RSN so that
boot-floppies can work on these machines. Other arm desktop architectures
(e.g Netwinder) use PC_BIOS partitioning. non-desktop ARM devices usually
just have a CF disk - no idea if partitioning is supported for them...
