dbootstrap problems installing modules and mounting nfs

I just tried installing the -idepci flavout to a 486-100, 8MB ram, it
installed, a few minor problems though.

I couldnt load the ne module through dbootstraps menu, i specified the
io and irq, however i got the standard message saying the resource i
specified were wrong (i forget the exact message now). I went to the
console and did "insmod ne io=0x300 irq=5" and the network card loaded.
I passed the same parameters at the console as i did through dbootstrap.

I also had problems mounting the nfs partition from dbootstrap, again i
had to go to the console and specify the same details as i did in
dboootstrap, and it worked.

Once i got base installed i used debconf and inserted thene module
without any problems.

Anyone have any idea why i got this behaviour ?

I have only installed base so far, i tried loading up dselect, but i
gave up after about 15mins and decided to use apt. Apt still takes about
a fair while to install a single package, its just handling the database
of files that slows it down i think.

Thanks

Glenn
