Bug#63674: Floppy checksum for base-1.bin incorrect

When trying to do a clean install of Potato from the 2.2.12-2000-04-26
boot floppies, the following error is reported after the base-1.bin
floppy has been read: "The floppy disk checksum does not match the
checksum made when it was written".

I have made the floppy several times, on several different floppy disks,
using both dd and rawrite on two different computers.

I have compared the md5 checksums to make sure that my copy of
base-1.bin is not corrupt.

I have run an md5 checksum on a floppy to make sure the image is
correct.

I have restarted the installation from scratch.

Despite all of this, the same error is reported when the base-1.bin
floppy is read.

All of the other floppies up to that point (rescue, root, drivers-1,
drivers-2, and drivers-3) were OK.
