Hi,

now kernel > 2.2.x supports ESDI and MCA, but install-floppies don't
support them.

"fdisk -l" on rescue-floppy is not able to find /dev/ed* and "lilo"
won't
make disk bootable.

I suggest to look at this rescue-discs (only for Debian 1.2-1.3.1) at
ftp://ftp.dgmicro.com/pub/linuxmca/Debian/ and to correct future
versions.

Rescue-floppies from Debian 2.1 don't allow to open a second shell in
"lowmem"-Install.

I've trouble installing Debian 1.3.1 and 2.1 on a IBM ThinkPad 700 with
ESDI-harddisk and 4MB RAM.

Bye

AC Almeida

We believe that the bug you reported has been closed in the Potato
version of the boot-floppies. We may not have received a response
from you so we are closing this bug.

Please let us know if you find that the bug still exists in the potato
version of the boot-floppies, and we can re-open your bug.

Note that there are some temporary but serious problems with those
floppies you should know about on i386:

 - installation of base from floppy probably not working
 - the compact flavor may not work
