Subject: boot-floppies depends on unavailable package
X-Mailer: VM 6.43 under 20.4 "Emerald" XEmacs Lucid

Package: boot-floppies
Version: 2.1.12

The version of the boot-floppies in stable (as checked on
ftp.debian.org just now) is 2.1.12. This lists
debiandoc-sgml (>= 1.1.29)
in its Depends: field.

However the version of debiandoc-sgml in stable is 1.1.12.

This makes it impossible to install the boot-floppies package from
stable without using --force-depends, and causes dselect to complain
about the unsatisfied dependencies.

You're right. But on the other hand, the newer debiandoc-sgml was
required so that the internationalization stuff was handled properly.
I really had to make this requirement for non-English versions of the
boot-floppies.

At any rate, this has been fixed for potato, so I'm closing this bug.
As a workaround, on slink, if your fortunate enough to speak English,
just override the dependancy. Or else just get the potato
debiandoc-sgml.
