Nothing in /root but .bashrc and .profile which is what I expect. This
file gets removed during the first reboot. I'm sure I can reproduce the
results, and I'm sure there will be no reference in the file to ppp, as I
was never asked anything about ppp by the base install. I'll give it a try
in the morning and let you know the results.
