Package: base-config
Version: 0.02
Severity: grave

       3) Dangerous bug. Makes the package in question unusable by anyone or
mostly so, or causes data loss, or introduces a security hole allowing
access to the accounts of users who use the package.

Data loss.

/etc/apt/sources.list is overwritten apparently, and those of us with
a significant one will have trouble recreating.

Ok, I figure you were just seeing the same problem you reported in bugs
#54635, #54648, #54652, #54578, and #54580. That's fixed.
