Can you give us more information on exactly how it fails?  Does it
fail during "Loading Linux..." or "Loading root.bin..." ?  This may be
a syslinux problem which should be fixed by using new boot-floppies.

Have you tried booting from floppy?

Have you tried booting from the tecra floppy?

Believe it or not, we realize Debian is much harder to install than
RedHat, and would like to fix this.  Your detailed responses to this
report may help us fix things.
