I hit bug #34949 while trying to install a ICL 4/66DX with the usual
i386 slink boot disks. (Downloaded from the local debian mirror just
an hour ago).
In the bug reporting system, 'John Cuson' doesn't have the exact error
message. Here it is:
# modprobe 3c509 io=0x300 irq=10
/lib/mobules/2.0.36/net/3c509.o: symbol for parameter io not found
#
(From the second console - trying to install the 3c509 from the
configuration program gives the same error)
I guess I should CC this to 34949@bugs.debian.org, but since I didn't
know that, I didn't. Ehh.. Frankly, I don't know how the system works,
and I'm kind of in a hurry right now. I think you know the correct
place for this information.
