Ok, never mind. I ignored the obvious...the current base2_2.tgz tarball is
hosed as it should have the rc?.d symlinks. I checked this versus the
slink base2_1.tgz to be sure. This explains numerous other problems
I'm having with missing files. boot-floppies is a real mess. Is anybody
else working on fixing potato's basedisks.sh? I'm beginning to hack it up
now since it has loads of dependency problems when I try to build a new
base tarball.
