Bug#36073: 'Netconfig' should be provided
You made a very interesting suggestion for a 'netconfig' script. In
fact, this is already under pretty intense discussion in
<debian-devel@lists.debian.org> right now.
However, we have refiled this bug from the boot-floppies to the
netbase package. This simply is not a boot-floppies issue. The
boot-floppies is just responsible for initial network configuration,
and not for providing some general debian network configuration
infrastructure (though, naturually, the boot-floppies could benefit
from such an infrastructure).
