Log message:
Added variable-bit-depth packed pixel support, tested in 8, 16, and
24-bit depths. 4bpp is theoretically supported but untested
(yet). Colormap emulation for 16/24/32bpp isn't there yet, so it
doesn't actually do anything useful in these depths :-)
