Bug#35338: Debian slink for sparc boot problem -- ideas



Anyone have a clue for this person trying to install with a SS2 ?

I have a SS2 with a couple of internal hard disks, i went to boot the rescue
disk as specified in the howto's so i could install it, and recieved the
following message.

ok boot floppy linux
Boot device: /fd   File and args: linux
SILO
Fatal error: Cannot read partition

Illegal or malformed device name

Fatal error: Cannot read partition

Fatal error: Cannot read partition

Fatal error: Unable to open filesystem


Fatal error: Cannot read partition
