Bug#35776: bugs

Package: boot-floppies
Version: slink or potato on 8-April-1999
architecture: i386
model: Intel Providence(PRsomethingFX) Dual Pentium Pro 200MHz, w/ built in
SCSI AIC-7880, network, and sound
memory: 1 64MB DIMM(IBM)
scsi: Adaptec AIC-7880, embedded
cd-rom: generic Sony clone
network: Intel EtherExpress 10/100 embedded

using the boot floppies off of ftp.debian.org and ftp.cdrom.com, my system
hangs after or during the boot process when loading/detecting my SCSI card.
It seems to get past this, but there is nothing after "Downloading 419
instructions" or something to that effect. I have used other kernels and
other boot floppies that do not have a problem with this. The other
floppies(Redhat, slackware, DLX, and Tomsrtbt) tho, do not let me run your
install program. By modifying your boot disk with any of these kernels or a
custom built one meeting your specifications on the boot disk, I can also
get past this. However, at this point I cannot seem to get the root image
to be recognized. I don't know if you would have the time to respond, but
if you do, I'd like to know what the problem is. Thank you.
