Bug#35351: Unable to boot from Debian 2.1 CDROM on Dell OptiPlex GX1

Adam-

Sorry to butt in. I was about to write a bug report when I saw Tom's
problem. Same symptoms, similar board (aha-2842VL). Tried 'no_probe' which
caused the boot process to ignore the SCSI detection altogether. Previously
it acknowledged the board but hung up as in Tom's situation. The good news
is that I now get to the installation portion, the bad news is it says I
don't have a hard drive! Is it time to trash SCSI and dust up my old 500MB
IDE drive?
