Section 1.1 'Getting the Newest Version of This Document' of the
document 'Installing Debian GNU/Linux For Intel x86' is held at

ftp://ftp.debian.org/debian/dists/stable/main/disks-i386/current/ch-welcome.html#s-getting-newest-doc

and contains a broken link. The 'Official Install Manual pages' are not
at

http://www.debian.org/releases//i386/install


For the slink release, for example, they are at

http://www.debian.org/releases/2.1/i386/install


Likewise the document's contents page should be at

ftp://ftp.debian.org/debian/dists/stable/main/disks-i386/current/index.html#contents

but the file index.html doesn't exist there.


Ordinarily this mightn't matter much, but the document is linked from
www.debian.org - these bugs are potentially among the first impressions
of Debian gained by those who may be considering installing it.
