I do something like this in the m68k version.  That's not a bad
idea... I'll add it near the top.

Of course, I don't want that to be taken as blessing a forked alpha
installation manual. But if there are manuals out there which are
good, we should at least point users to them so they're not lost.

Cool, that would rock.

One of the first things you should do is sit down and think about
where in the structure the alpha specific stuff needs to go.  I.e.,
where do we need to talk about SRM and that stuff....
