Subject: Loadlin Installation Files (and likley disks, too)
Mime-Version: 1.0
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"

Package: general
Version: 2.1.2
Severity: critical

The loadlin-based installation procedure files (install.bat, loadlin.exe,
linux, root.bin, etc) do not contain the nessecary drivers to read off of
vfat/fat32. Regardless of any opinions of Microsoft filesystems, this is a
bug, as it flat out prevents loadlin-based installation from Win95b/98.

My assumption would be that this bug/oversight is present in the floppy
boot disks as well.

  O! Water cold we may pour at need
    down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
      but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
        and Water Hot poured down the back.
