Hi, Stefan and myself have just confirmed that the current base system contains a version of dselect (dpkg 1.4.0.31) which isn't compatible with the included libstdc++. Stefan has tested it with base.tgz from boot-floppies 2.1.2. This seems to be the version of dpkg from slink. Please take care.
