Somebody contacted me off-list with the tip of first upgrading uno-libs3 and indeed this worked for me: apt-get install -t squeeze-backports uno-libs3 # removes openoffice.org-* apt-get install -t squeeze-backports libreoffice Regards, -- Jeroen Schot
