This sounds right. I'm not sure of the version numbers and so on, but there
are definitely different versions around of the DWL-122 with different
chipsets. Mine is a white, thumb-sized USB adapter. I lost the box a long
time ago, but the label on the back of the adapter says:
MODEL NO:DWL-122<B>
