The proposed solution involves overriding parts of the system with 32-bit libraries and binaries.
Debian cleanly supports 32-bit libraries (see package ia32-libs), but not binaries. You can still make a chroot jail and run the browser from there, as suggested in the How To. Unless you're really short in hard disk space, this shouldn't be a problem and it works great for most cases. For the rest, the proposed solution won't work better anyway.
