You might be interested in `andrea', a system to automatically
determine as many source dependencies as possible (e.g. it would have
caught liborbit-dev on gnome-cre). It's part of wanna-build and an
example of it's output (well, the merged output of `andrea' and
manually added source dependencies) at
http://debian-m68k.nocrew.org/source-dependencies.frozen.gz

Along with the rest of wanna-build, it's still not packaged due to
severe time constraints on my part, but it's available via anon cvs
and easy to set up.
