Re: xfce



Wouter,

I typed in everything exactly as you did. I assumed the EOF meant actually typing E O F so I did. As soon as I typed the EOF after the xfce it exited back to the command prompt.

When I type startx it says command not found.

When I installed xfce I let it install all default dependencies, so I don't know why it didn't install whatever startx is. I will look in dselect and see if I see startx.

What did I do wrong?

You don't start xfce by just entering it on the command line. Instead,
enter the following on a command line:

cat > .xinitrc <<EOF
xfce
EOF
startx

That should work.
