I tried both kernels from the macduff.dhs.org, but the test kernel
produced errors when decompressed. The kernels did find the MACE
ethernet and allowed a decent connection, but nothing worked well
except for ping.

Even though a ping of http://http.us.debian.org would always have a
turn around time of between 35 and 150 milliseconds depending site was
pinged. I got about 500 Bytes per second on some of the data
transfers; any attempt to download anything of any size would
eventually time out -- I did manage to get some small pieces
downloaded with dselect before I gave up.
