installing debian on lc3

Hello,

I'm new to linux and i'm triyng to install dedian on my lc3.
 (12 Mo RAM - DD 40 Mb HFS - Syquest EZ 135 ).

I made two partitions on a cartridge:105 Mb for the root and 20 Mb for swap.

After lauching linux with the penguin, the installer start well and do ( I do
) the following:

- select color display
- configure mac-us-std keyboard ( very exiting on a french one :-)
- initialize and activate Swap
- initialize the root partition
- install operating system kernel
- configure device driver module ( no device )
- configure the network ( I try both Yes or No )
- install the base system

After unpacking base2_0.tgz ( 14 Min. ) the system freeze ( No more disk
activity - I wait 50 min )
