We can. m68k did already last time (2.0) :-) If you look at non-free, there much stuff in there that is unported or unportable (netscape, jdk, ...), and contrib contains lots of stuff that depends on this non-portable crap. So non-free/contrib won't be that big anyway on non-i386 archs. Roman
