be invited to try the new version 1.1.4 of my program cdrskin,
a burn backend for CD, DVD and BD with a command line interface
compatible to cdrecord.
Linux with kernel 2.4 or 2.6: libc, libpthread
or FreeBSD : libc, libpthread, IDE and SATA drives need atapicam
or Solaris : libc, libpthread
* New option --device_links lists drives on GNU/Linux by their
usual udev links rather than by their kernel device addresses.
(If more than one CD drive is attached, then modern GNU/Linux may
permutate the /dev/sr addresses and the SCSI bus numbers at
boot time. udev tries to provide stable link names like /dev/cdrw
which always point to the same drive.)
Version number 1.1.2 was skipped to get back in sync with the
numbering of other libburnia components.
For more info, see http://scdbackup.sourceforge.net/cdrskin_eng.html
There is a cdrskin release tarball (containing libburn):
and its detached signature file:
by which the download may be verified:
gpg --keyserver keys.gnupg.net --recv-keys ABC0A854
gpg --verify cdrskin-1.1.4.tar.gz.sig cdrskin-1.1.4.tar.gz
scdbackup.sourceforge.net is mirrored at scdbackup.webframe.org .
cdrskin is also part of the libburn-1.1.4 SVN tag:
(needs autotools >= 1.7 to apply command ./bootstrap)
and of the libburn-1.1.4 release tarball:
(needs only vanilla tools for ./configure ; make)
