SONY DRU500-AX and TDK DVD+R 4X problem
Hi..
whenever I try to write a TDK DVD+R 4X disc, with growisofs, the disc is
closed very early (after one minute) and I get the following messages,
from k3b:
System

Also the kernel reports:
hdg: command error: status=0x51 { DriveReady SeekComplete Error }
hdg: command error: error=0x54

hdg: drive not ready for command

Is this a DMA problem or some disc compatibility problem?
I have managed to write one out of 10 of those DVDs,
This is the only 4X disc I have ever tried to write, and here there are no
other 4X discs available to try.
Also my DVD is on a PDC20268 controller, on the second channel as master
and I have an ASUS K7V mainboard with KX133 VIA chipset.
I am using the following hdparm command:
hdparm -c1 -d1 -u1 -X udma2 /dev/hdg
2.6.0-test11
dvd+rw-tools-5.14.4.7.4
cdrtools-2.01a20pre2
and latest firmware for my SONY.
