2.9% using jackd here. Perhaps an issue regarding to Audacity's GUI and
GNOME 3? While everything should be idle, sometimes 50% of the CPU
resources are used.
My CPU is a 2.1 GHz Athlon dual-core, I never had such performance
issues before.
What WM/DE do you use?
