Debian installations, exim is used as a drop in replacement for sendmail. Likewise, /usr/sbin/sendmail is a symlink to exim. I guess the question to Debian would be, is there a reason why /usr/lib/sendmail can't be a symlink to /usr/sbin/sendmail which is then a symlink to /usr/sbin/exim, other than the obvious extra hop for the symlink? I think that if /usr/lib/sendmail is a symlink to a proper drop-in replacement though, as it is in Debian, maybe this is OK... -drew -- M.
