To all who are still interested in this discussion:
I have started an open source project called TUCS: The Unified
Configuration System on SourceForge.net. The home page is at
http://tucs.sourceforge.net. If you want to contribute ideas or discuss
things, please direct your comments there, as someone has pointed out
eariler, this is not the place to discuss new technology. I apologize
for posting to the wrong place.
