I presume you were in the middle of the ical transition: https://release.debian.org/transitions/html/ical.html Also, #774924 could very well be the cause for this. but hard to say. Have a look at the /var/backups/ directory, the dpkg.status file from before the upgrade would be interesting to reproduce this and confirm my suspicions (or not). Usual disclaimer: the dpkg status file contains information about all packages you have installed on your system and in which version.
