Yes, I was also surprised.
Find attached a patch. Review it, process it further and report back.

Subject: [PATCH] Next upload to Debian
The previous upload was rejected due incomplete debian/copyright.
After updating it, said `dput`:
Package has already been uploaded to ftp-master on ftp.upload.debian.org
So now incremented the debian version.
