Yes, now I understand that it's different. I used my window manager
shortcut to close windows. With the exit command, it does not close,

people here said, but this is something I would not had imagined.

concern thus remains: does this change with systemd, can I still
leave
background processes running after logging out from the originating
login shell with exit / ^D ?
