The X server uses 1920x1200 all the time, so the resolution shouldn't be
too high for the console. I've tried to view the output of vbeinfo (or
how it's called). It puts out a list too long to fit on the screen, and
there isn't any scrolling back or more or less available from the grub
command line. Or is there?
BTW, what's the difference between video modes described as "packed" and
others? Which ones are better?
