I did what you suggest and is working like a charm :)

http://mydomain.com:443 is working great, insteed of

https://mydomain.com

I edit httpd.conf as suggested, restart the deamon, syslog as well (you
never know) and I am not getting any errors under the ssl log. The only
messages that exist there, are the following that produced when I browse
the  http://mydomain.com:443 

$:/etc/apache# tail -f /var/log/apache/custom_ssl.log
[03/Apr/2005 22:29:35 06018] [info]  Init: Configuring server
mydomain.com:443 for SSL protocol
[03/Apr/2005 22:29:35 06018] [trace] Init: (mydomain.com:443) Creating

Configuring RSAserver certificate
[03/Apr/2005 22:29:35 06018] [trace] Init: (mydomain.com:443)
Configuring RSAserver private key

Any ideas?
